What I am Reading

Okay I love to read, but seriously lack the time. Another New Year Resolution of mine is to try and read at LEAST 4 books this year. I figure I can do a book every quarter. ;) How pathetic! Anyway I have attempted to read this book 3 times now. I really have enjoyed and agreed with everything I have read so far. The book you ask? The Potentially Sane Mother's Guide to Raising Young Children.

What is up?

What is up with Ethan? He is on antibiotics for his ear infection, but now for the past 2 days he has been running a fever. Please get better. Please get better. Please get better. I feel bad for him, because today he has been alittle more attached to me than normal. You can tell he doesn't feel good.

Tyler had is doctor's appt. for a urine recheck. A few weeks ago at the doctor's they had tested Tyler's urine and found protein. They wanted to recheck it because they said that protein in the urine can lead to kidney disease. Well, Tyler is all good. The doctor said that sometimes when the kids get dehydrated than that can show signs of protein in the pee. Thank goodness that was all it was. Prayers were answered!

Emily is doing well. Lately she has just been playing on the computer or with her Barbies. Oh, lets not forget her fave thing to do, watch Hannah Montana. Maybe I will regret admitting to this, but I actually like watching Hannah Montana too. It is hilarious!

Isabelle is Miss Personality!!! She loves her lipstick and loves to sing Hannah Montana songs with her blue microphone.

This weekend I have been on a roll organizing and getting rid of old paperwork! I think I have some good news to share- I'm getting a house! And you all thought I would say that I am pregnant, didn't you? I said good news. Which I guess being pregnant is good news, but for right now that wouldn't be in my good news category! Yes, more details to come on the house. Keep us in your prayers! I'm excited!!

Well, I am going to go help Tyler finish his homework. Ah, yes the holidays are over, back to work.

Some pictures from December

Ethan's puppy cake. The kids chose the puppy cake for Ethan since he is always getting into the real dog food.
I think I would be safe to write that Ethan enjoyed his cake. ;)

Ethan the Curious! What could be in the box?

Ethan excited to try out his new wheels!

Sorry the picture is a little dark, but here are the boys with the Yerf Dog! Proud of how dirty they are!
Tyler- not a happy mudder! He was FREEZING! His hands hurt! And he got mud in his mouth!

Celebrating turning five with dad on the phone singing "Happy Birthday" and the store bought cake. :) We held off on opening presents since dad wasn't there, but we watched Shrek the Third. Happy Birthday Emily!

Emily's second Birthday cake with her fave celebrity- Hannah Montana! That dang sticker cost me $10!!

Here we are celebrating Emily's birthday for the second time now that dad is back in town. :)

We are still alive-barely!

We had a Wonderful Christmas! It was great to get together with family and friends. The kids received Way Too Many gifts! Oh well, it was a good Christmas.

But ever since Christmas we have been battling the flu, colds, and ear infections. I am starting to wonder if I will ever see Ethan healthy again. ;)

Merry Christmas

Things here have been quite busy, hence the no posts. What have we been up to?

Sean- Work, work, work, and a little Christmas shopping.

Alishia- Cleaning, organizing, getting rid of things to make room for new things to come on Christmas! ;) I didn't think it could happen, but I think I can honestly say that I am shopped out!

Tyler- Trying so hard to be good for Santa. We don't want a stocking full of coal.

Emily- "Convinced" ;) Tyler to take down the ornaments from the tree like the Grinch does in the movie. :)

Isabelle- Very excited for the presents that Christmas will bring her.

Ethan- Is climbing on top of EVERYTHING!

Primary Program Sunday

Today was the Primary Program at church. It went REALLY well. Tyler and Emily were very good sitting up in the seats with the other children. I must admit I was a bit worried, especially for Emily. That girl is the sneaky/funny type. But everything went well. Tears came to my eyes one time while I was watching the kids. I am so grateful for the gospel and raising my kids in the church. I love hearing them speak of Jesus and sing songs to praise him. Great job Tyler and Emily!
After church we headed home. It was such a yucky rainy day. Today Sean was leaving to go to West Virgina for a few days so I packed his bag and got him on his way. Then the kids and I ate dinner and played a game of Balloon Lagoon. I LOVE Cranium games! We had ice cream and headed to bed.
I love relaxed Sundays!

Picture Update

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!

Helping decorate Grammy's Christmas Tree

Ethan waving bye-bye.

If looks could kill....

He loves his Star Wars Legos!

I can't get over that Tyler is seven years old now!! He was thrilled to have a Optimus Prime Cake!

Poor Ethan got in a fight with an Oreo and by the looks of it he lost! :)

Isabelle definitley had the vision. She LOVES this dress up dress so she wanted to be a green, fairy princess. She is so funny.

Emily was going for the Rockstar look, I guess we kind of accomplished our goal. She is just from the 80's era.

Homemade Halloweens are the best! Tyler's costume took me some time drawing the bones and cutting them out. It was fun for me to make it (sort of). ;)

Our little puppy. We can actually can retire this costume now. We won't have anymore babies wearing (at least not from our fam).

Yes, I am behind. Oh well.
