Weekend Wrap Up

Friday-
It was a dreary and chilly day. The day went along with my mood. I was kind of grumpy. I think I am getting a little stressed out. I talked to Jeremy on the way to the mall this morning and he told me something very helpful, something that I needed. He said, "accept your situation, be patient, and have faith." Just what I needed to hear! Nothing is better than some good ol' big brother advice. Thanks Jer love ya! Anyways, I met up with JaDawn Ross at the mall and our kids just played in the play area. The kids had fun and then we treated them to a cookie at the mall. It was nice to get the kids out of the house. I was hesitant about going because Emily had been complaining that she doesn't feel good and it hurt to breathe. I gave her a breathing treatment and she said she felt better. I took the kids to the Dollar Store because they wanted to buy something with their money. Tyler bought a little robot guy and the girls bought some fairy dolls. I LOVE the Dollar Store. By the time I got home my mood was alot better. I made breakfast for dinner- a family favorite! After dinner the kids played, I folded some laundry, packed up a box to take to storage and watched some Law and Orders. Then we had our FHE for the week. We were a little late in the week, but at least we had it! We read a story out of the Friend about being children of God. We played Uno and had popcorn for a treat. I am happy my day ended good!

Saturday-
Emily had me up worrying in the middle of the night. I get concerned with her breathing. I know it is just allergies especially with the weather and her playing outside. I gave her a breathing treatment about 3am. I woke up at 7:30am to get ready for the Relief Society Super Saturday. I got the girls and the baby ready gave Emily another treatment around 8am. I am taking the girls to the Super Saturday because there is a nursery there. I kept the baby with me since I am still nursing. Tyler had a soccer game so I got everything ready for Sean to take to the game. After running around the house getting organized I was finally ready! Man it takes forever to get out the door to go some where. The Super Saturday was very nice. They fed a breakfast and a nice lunch. Tons of food and desserts so everyone got their grub on! There were different classes we could choose from, but you could only pick three. The classes that I took were- a dehydration class, a parenting class, and a spiritual class. The dehydration class and the spiritual class were so so. The parenting class was good. I need to speak nicer to the children and Sean. In the parenting class she said something that stuck with me. She said we are leading our children to Christ and we should remember how Christ guides us- gently. I just keep saying to myself "come follow me" right before I discipline the kids. I also need to work on better FHE, personal scripture study, and personal prayer. Just to name a few. I like going to the Super Saturday's because I get to know the sister a little bit better by chatting. I am glad I went. I had a great time! I saw Molly Cox there. What a pleasant surprise! She is so awesome! She is a miracle and I feel so blessed to have been able to spend just a little bit of time with her. By the time I got home I was sooo tired! JaNae was in town to go to someone's prom. It was fun to see her. Emily went with JaNae and grammy to get a pedicure so I took Tyler, Isabelle, and the baby for a walk. Then the girls came home from the pedicure and we waited for JaNae to get ready and leave in her pretty "princess dress" . (That is what the girls call any pretty dress.) Sean and his dad went to hit a bucket and the driving range. I fed the children and bathed them and then when Sean got home we had prayer and scripture. I am so happy the kids are getting back to routine a little bit. I love when they are in bed by 9:30pm!

Sunday-
I was so happy this morning because Sean had early morning meetings at church for his new calling which means we were on time. :) It was Fast Sunday. I can honestly say I really enjoyed most of the testimonies shared. I could really feel the spirit. I love meetings like that! The kids were good for the most part too! I didn't go into Sunday School because I saw Sandy Beers and I talked with her. I hadn't seen her in about 2 yrs. so that was nice to visit. The third hour was combined, but I didn't get to stay and listen. The baby was a little fussy. No big deal it was kind of boring talking about mental illness. Oh well, I guess it is something that needed addressing. Kind of funny though. Got home and of course changed and then went right into the kitchen. I don't know why but Sundays ALWAYS make me feel EXTRA tired and hungry. We had lunch. Then cleaned up the house and started cooking food for dinner. Lisa, Shawn and Shelton came to visit. That was fun! The food was wonderful. I have some new recipes to share! Yummo! I will post them later. It was really LOUD and CHAOTIC!! Oh my gosh can't handle that! After everyone left there was some extra time before bedtime left so I played a couple of games with the kids. We had fun! Off to the bedtime routine- jammies, brush teeth, scripture and prayer. Tyler and Emily fell right asleep. Isabelle stayed up a little longer because she had a late nap. I stayed up with her a planned out this weeks FHE and stayed up to talk with JaNae and Irina. I was very happy with this Sabbath day because we actually didn't stray from Sabbath Day activities. It has been really important for me to try and keep this day holy! I am so happy that the t.v. was not watched.

Deja Vu

Well I just did a repeat of yesterday. We did school and then just kicked it at home. I cooked again. It must be a record! :) Isabelle didn't take a nap so she went to bed early. I think I like that better than her taking a nap. Actually all the kids went to bed early and I stayed up and did more laundry and watched Law and Order. Boring here.

One of those days

Have you ever had a day that it seems like you got absolutely nothing accomplished? Well that is what yesterday was like. The weather was wonderful, again, so the kids played outside almost all day long. :) Isabelle took a nap. She has been a terror lately. She changes outfits SO many times during the day. Seriously she changed clothes like 10 times yesterday. What am I going to do with that girl?
Sean went shooting with his dad. Then when he got home it was time for soccer practice. After soccer Sean, his dad, and Tyler went for ice cream and then flying. Wow sounds like Sean had a fun filled day! :) Sean said Tyler had a good time flying. Sean said Tyler asked him if the Germans were behind them. Tyler can be so funny sometimes. I don't know what his deal is with the Germans. He keeps asking if the Germans are bad or if we are fighting the Germans. Crazy kid!
I went to the store with the girls and the baby. I actually cooked yesterday! When I got home we ate dinner and I watched Law and Order. I feel bad I really didn't do anything with the girls. I let them watch the movie, Happy Feet. (stupid movie by the way) I just needed to not do anything.
The boys came home and I put Tyler in the shower and then off to bed.

Pictures

Little Emily

My redneck hubby. He thought he was so funny with his mustache. Thank goodness he shaved it off!

Cheerleader Isabelle is so cute at the games. She will cheer Tyler and daddy on by yelling, "Go Daddy!" or "Go Tyler go! You can do it!"

The Fire Team

Coach Sean and Tyler as the goalie at a game.

Here are the girls playing with baby Ethan.
Well there are some pictures. Yesterday was Monday and my day to get organized again. In the morning I played outside with the kids. We played Freeze Tag and a short game of soccer. Tyler beat me by 1. We did our school and had another great day! I cleaned and paid some bills. Sean went to the driving range in the morning and hit a bucket of balls. In the evening Sean took Tyler to golf lessons with his cousins, Jeremiah and Jacob. Then Sean hit another bucket of balls with my dad and Jeremy. Next week they will play a game of golf. Well that is about all we did. Isabelle is driving me crazy. She has been super bossy and cranky. I am going to get off here and get on with my day.

Weekend Wrap Up

Friday-
I cleaned up a little bit. I did some laundary. I was supposed to babysit, but plans changed. We hung out at the Faulsticks house- of course. Thanks Eddie and Sarah for letting us destroy your place, again! :) Sarah and I went to the grocery and got grub for us to eat Friday night and the food we were bringing for Thunder. I made a veggie tray and some salsa. The salsa was so good! I used Kim Stephenson's recipe that she had made at Enrichment because the recipe that I usually use is in storage with all of my cookbooks.

Fresh Salsa

6 Roma Tomatoes, chopped
1 red onion, diced
1/4 c. fresh cilantro, chopped
salt to taste
(it was really good and mild. You always can throw in a hot pepper to add a kick to it, but I chose not to this time.)

Saturday-
The weather has been just amazing! We started our morning off with Tyler's game. He played good and hard. But sadly the Fire team lost! The team they played against was really good though. Oh well, just gotta do better next game. Great Job Tyler! After the game we headed to Taco Bell to meet our friends and follow them down to their business and set up "camp". The Faulsticks own a 3D-4D ultrasound shop and photography studio in downtown Jeffersonville. It is about 1/4 mile away from the 2nd St. bridge so it was a perfect place to see Thunder since the Fireworks are all shot off of the 2nd St. bridge. It was alot of fun! We saw the military aircraft flying by. That is my favorite part. Ate and hung out with friends. The kids were so good! Then at night was the big fireworks production-Super Cool! Thanks Faulsticks for the invite!

Sunday-
Well we had to be a 1/2 hour early to church because we had a meeting with High Council. Someone got a calling. It ended up being for Sean. We has been called to Exec. Seceratary. I just laughed when they were telling him about all the early morning meetings he will be attending. I told him at least we will be early to church. He said that I don't have to go to church when he goes for the meetings and I replied back with, "I know I don't have to go to the meetings. We will be early because I don't have to wait on you." :) After Sacrament meeting someone made a comment to me that I won't have help getting the kids ready on Sunday anymore. Uh excuse me? I never really did have help. I get all the kids ready. Sean may tie a shoe or something, but usually by the time he is walking out the door I have everyone dressed and buckle in carseats.
Church meetings were ok from what I was able to hear. I was out in the foyer with Ethan and Isabelle during Sacrament. I was feeding Ethan during Sunday School. Then I was able to hear the annoucements for Relief Society and part of the lesson until I was called out to change Isabelle's diaper. She is so funny. She didn't want me to change her diaper. She wanted her nursery teacher to change her diaper. I finally conviced her that mommy will change her and her nursery teacher will wait for her. So when she was done Isabelle ran to her teacher. Then the poor girl fell and started crying. I said, "Go play with your cousins in your class." She doesn't have anyone related to her in nursery, but she calls her friends her cousins. Crazy girl! After church we came home and changed clothes and ate a snack. Then we headed over to Steve and Tammy's house. It was so good to see everyone there. Steve made a yummy dinner! The kids had fun playing with their real cousins, Grandma, and Uncle Phil. It was another gorgeous day. I am really glad that we were able to spend some time with my family!

Girls Night Out!

Yes, Sean watched 3 of the 4 kids while I went out the some girlfriends last night after Enrichment night. It was SOOOOOOOOOOO much fun!! Enrichment was actually interesting too! Kim Stephenson talked about planting, growing and cooking with herbs. She did a great job! She also went the extra mile and had some food to sample with fresh herbs. I am so craving fresh salsa now! Afterwards, Sarah, JaDawn, and I hit Steak 'N Shake. The food was great and so was the conversation. It was a much needed Girls Night Out! We talked, laughed and ate! How much better could it get? :) Thanks guys for watching the kids. Sean suggested that we do this once a month. Oh how sweet! I think he really can tell how much it was needed and how much I really appreciated him watching the kids.

Well Sean finishes up this semester today! I know he is excited about that! He has done a good job! This semester has been crazy! Well it is finally done!

I am so excited for tomorrow being Thunder Over Louisville and the weather is supposed to be awesome! Tyler also has a game. Go Fire!

Well that is all I have right now. I am off to go pick up Sean's cousin and babysit for a couple of hours. I need to go grocery shopping too and get the snack for tomorrow!

Beautiful Tuesday

Oh the weather was GORGEOUS yesterday! We had no big plans, just our normal routine.

Sean went golfing with his uncle. What a great day to do that! Sean loves to golf, but he says he isn't very good at it. He needs to practice his swing is what he tells me. :) I am glad he had a nice time. It is always nice to get out and do something you love.

I stayed at home with the kids. We did school and again Tyler did great! I let the kids play and eat outside. They were so excited! They played with the Frisbee and their badminton rackets. Isabelle started crying and gagging herself so I ran to see what was wrong with her. She is standing at the door crying with her tongue hanging out and drool running on to her clothes (pretty picture I know) and she is holding one of those dandelion flowers that you blow and the seeds fly away. So I figured out what happened- while she was blowing the seeds the wind blew at the same time her mouth was open and all the seeds went in her mouth. I felt bad for her because she was crying and on the verge of throwing up, but I cleaned her all up and laughed.

I got some cleaning done which seriously was nice. I also was able to talk with a couple of friends I hadn't spoke to in forever. I love to talk on the phone while cleaning it makes the work go by quickly and easier too! Thanks Vanessa! It was great to talk to you and seriously we will get the kids together and just the moms too!

Later that evening we went to watch Tyler play in his soccer game! Tyler is playing soccer through the YMCA. Sean is coaching the team. Sean seems to really like doing it. Although, for the fall season I am going to put Tyler with a different association because I feel like the Y is a little disorganized. At first when Tyler found out that Sean was going to coach Tyler just rolled his eyes and said, "Oh great I hope he doesn't get hurt." Then at the first practice I asked Tyler how dad did coaching the team and Tyler's reply, "Well, he's not that good." Oh kids say the funniest things. Anyways, they had a game last night. Tyler was the goalie at the beginning. He likes to be the goalie. All the kids like beginning the goalie so they have to take turns. After his turn as goalie Tyler was out in the field and the ball was kicked right into Tyler's stomach. He tried screaming, but the wind had got knocked out of him so he couldn't make any noise. OUCH! He ran to Coach Dad and then Sean carried him to me. Tyler didn't play the rest of the game. I think he was hurting and a little embarrassed. The game ended as a tie. Go FIRE! :)

Well that was our day.

Monday Monday

Sean woke up bright and early to take one of his last tests for this semester. When he got home from taking the test he asked me why I had set the alarm clock a half hour early. Like I would do that. I reminded him of how Emily and Isabelle have been playing with the alarm clock so they must have accidently done something. On Sunday Emily walked in to our room and turned on the radio from the clock and said, "I have to do my dance lessons." It was really cute. So now her and Isabelle keep turning on the radio and dancing to the music. I need to get in there and tape it, but Emily won't dance if anyone else is watching. What a wierdo! :)

Tyler did really good homeschooling. He didn't put up a fight at all! I can't wait to put him into public school next year!

Tyler and Isabelle kept fighting over a Hot Wheels car. It is Tyler's car, but Isabelle wanted it because the car is red and she thinks it is Lighting McQueen. I told Isabelle I was going to go to the store and get her her own Lighting McQueen. I told Sean I was going to the store and I am ONLY going to take the two little kids. He said ok. That means I left Tyler and Emily with Sean and his dad. So I went to the store and got Isabelle a Lighting McQueen and a Sally car. I also got Emily and Tyler a little car too. I got new clothes for Tyler. I went to the Sam's club with Sean's mom. It was a much needed trip. Even though I did have two kids with me it wasn't too bad. The kids did really well. I just NEEDED to get out of the house! The weather was beautiful!! We got home and Sean was upset because I left the older kids. HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told him I was leaving the kids. (o.k. this is a family blog I can see I need my own blog to vent!)

Tyler and Emily have become upset with the whole not having a house thing. Can't say I blame them. So Tyler was just letting us know how much he wants his own house. I feel bad for them, but hopefully it will just be for a short period of time. They REALLY want ALL of their toys out of storage!

We are up!

We'll we are set up with a blog, how exciting! Jess and Will helped me figure this out. Thanks guys! I hope this blog can be useful for myself and others to be able to keep in touch better. I am taking this one step at a time so bare with me. I will upload some pictures soon! We have been sick here. Sean has been a big help with the kids. I have been sick so he has watched them while have having been getting some needed zzzs. Thanks babe! I think the last person to recover is baby Ethan. I hate when the kids are sick! Well not alot has been going on. We didn't go to church yesterday because of being sick. We ( the kids and I ) mostly stayed in bed and watched some movies. We watched Flushed Away. I thought it was kind of boring. We also watched Night at the Museum. That movie was not bad. Last night after putting the kids in bed I finished watching, The Guardian. I that movie was ok. Wow! I have been watching lots of movies. What a loser! Well I am off to get stuff accomplished.
