These past few days we have been really busy. It is good for me. I am trying not to concentrate to much on our situation. I am not trying to focus on what we don't have, but focus on what we do have. It is easier said than done!
I have been trying to keep the kids busy. I like to wear them out really good during the day so they sleep well during the night. So we have done the park, the zoo, the science museum, the library, swimming, and visited friends and family.
I finally got my Indiana driver's license. It only took two attempts. It makes me angry that I even had to take the written test, just because I was coming from out of state. Oh well, it is done and I finally passed!
Sean has been working late most nights this week. I guess it really isn't work. It is more like hands on training experience since he isn't getting paid right now. But he is learning what he needs to know to get paid in the near future so that is great! He also went fishing with Greg and his cousin Kelby. He said he had a good time and by the looks of him he got a great tan!

Catch up day
Mondays always seem to be catch up day from the weekend. I don't know why though, it is not like I took anytime off from the normal routine. I guess on the weekends the family is in TURBO DUSTRUCTO MODE. ;)
So, I balanced the check book, finally. Thank goodness I haven't bounced a check it has been weeks since I had done this little task. I also paid some bills which is another one of my favorite things to do. ;)
School has been going great with Tyler, but I would be telling a lie if I didn't admit to being EXTREMELY excited for SUMMER! Homeschooling has been a wonderful learning experience. I have no regrets for doing it this year, but I am excited to try public school. I think it would be to chaotic for both Tyler and I to go another year of home school with our family situation as it is right now. Oh well, I did my best and I think he has learned a lot! Great job Tyler!
Hmmm.... what else did I do Monday. Oh yes, my never ending job as referee to the children. Tyler is a great big brother-most of the time! But he know just what to say and do to his little sisters to have them run crying to me. Lately, Tyler has been hitting Isaboo or he calls Emily names like "stinky" or "loser". What is up? In return Emily knows how to pester her older brother by ignoring him when he asks her questions. I guess I would too if my brother called my stinky. :) Yesterday Emily was riding her bike and Tyler had left is Styrofoam airplane on the side walk. Well, what do you think happened next? Yep, you guessed it! Emily ran the darn thing over and Tyler started screaming like some had sliced his hand off. Emily calmly says, "Well you shouldn't have left it out." What a snotty little girl! Tyler probably shouldn't have left it on the ground, but dang Emily have some compassion. And then we have Isaboo, that girl is two years old and she thinks she is queen bee. What ever Isabelle wants Isabelle gets in her mind so, she is having a hard time learning about other people's property. I guess she is not down with OPP. (Ha Ha I couldn't resist. I crack myself up!)
Sean went golfing with Tyler, Jeremy and Phil. He said he had one of his worst games EVER! Jeremy told me that Sean was so mad that he hit the green with his club and left a dent in it. Boys it is just a game! While the boys were golfing I took the girls outside and let them ride their bikes again until dark. After that it was time for bed. I wonder if it makes me a bad mom when I look forward to my children going to bed?
I am off to make dinner.

The Weekend
I remember when the weekend would just fly by as a kid in school, but now I have to say that the whole week flys by!
Saturday was Tyler's last game for the season. I am happy to report that the Fire team ended the season victoriously!! After the game I didn't do much. Sean headed over to hit a few golf balls and get a few pointers from Scott Kasteler. I just tried to clean and do some laundry. I feel like sometimes there is so much to do that I seriously am walking in circles. I feel nothing gets accomplished. Oh well. Later in the day Sean and I ran a couple of errands without the two older kids. Even though it takes alot longer to get around with all of the kids I really still miss them even if it was for an hour or so. Sean and I came home and got dinner ready. Sean and Isabelle made a cake for FHE. Tyler and Emily went to the airport to put gas in grandpa's plane and then went to Burger King. They were so excited because they were able to get a kid's meal. What a treat! We had FHE (family home evening). I was quite impressed with how much Tyler and Emily really listen to me. They knew alot more than I thought. That makes me so happy. The lesson was about the 6 B's. Be grateful, clean, prayerful, smart, true, and humble. What wonderful words to live by!!
Sunday was a very tiring day. I stay up way to late. I guess I feel that when everyone is sleeping that time alone is "my time" and I don't want to just go to sleep, but to enjoy it and get things done. So I stayed up and did some laundry. Yes, I know great "my time". So when I woke up to get ready for church I was so tired! Driving on the way to church all I could think about was a nap. Sacrament meeting had some good speakers. A couple of the speakers spoke on FHE. I thought about the FHE I had as a child growing up and I am so happy I have those memories. I hope that my children will have nothing but good memories from our family's FHE. I also saw Tiffany Aldaffer. She was one of the girls who hooked me and Sean up, kind of. I hadn't seen her since my wedding reception. That was fun to talk with her for a few minutes. Emily had a talk to give in Primary. She was soo excited. It was on the Book of Mormon. She stood right up in front of everybody and spoke clearly into the microphone. I was so pleased!! At home another successful Sunday of no T.V. :) The kids wrote letters to people and then we played Uno. Sean and his dad went and did some service for his Aunt Cindy, by delivering her a washer and dryer.
Well that was our weekend.

Playtime
Lately it seems that all we have been doing is running around town and playing. It has been great for the kids and me too.
Wednesday I set up a play date at the park with a lot of other mom's and their kids. It was lots of fun. The weather has been just beautiful! Actually it has been a little chilly. Go figure almost June and I am saying it is chilly outside. CRAZY!! After the park we went to the Faulstick's house and played even more. Next on to soccer. They lost. Oh well it is just a game, right? Only one game left.
I was looking so forward to Thursday because it was HFPE and after that Sarah, JaDawn, and I got out to eat and just chat. We went to Asian Buffet. Yummy! It was soooooo nice to be with just the girls for a few hours. Oh how fast the time goes!
Friday another day at the park with chilly weather. I better enjoy the weather before it turns so stinkin hot.
I am going to try to take a nap! I am exhausted!

Just another day
Cute conversation we had at breakfast. Sean, his parents, Emily, and I were eating cereal. It was Kashi cereal that I bought and we all were discussing how good it was for your body and heart. Emily was eating Fruity Pebbles. Emily comes over to me and whispers in my ear, "Is my cereal good for my heart?" I sadly reply it is not the best, but pointing out on the bag to her that it does have vitamins in it. I told her that was the cereal she had picked out for herself, but tomorrow we will find something to eat that is healthy for her heart. She is so cute!
Well, Tuesday was a day of organizing and paying bills. I still have so much to do and never feel like I am caught up. There just aren't enough hours in the day SERIOUSLY!
I finally got dressed and ready for the day around 4pm. Talk about slacker! I put dinner in the oven and took the kids for a walk around the block. I seriously need to chill! I think I am too high strung sometimes. I wonder why?
Over all it was a nice day.

Boring Monday
Wow! I never realized how boring I am. Oh well, I guess I prefer boring over drama!
Monday I cleaned and went grocery shopping. That is about it! I went clothes browsing for the girls! Man way too many cute shoes and clothes out there on the racks! I didn't buy anything, but I wanted too!! I need to find some cute hairbows too! I am all about bows in the girls hair. It is so fun! Emily loves them, Isabelle still needs some convincing!
Tyler and Sean played golf. Tyler came home and told me all about pitching. What ever that is? Sean sadly lost against my dad and Jer. He says Jeremy just got lucky. Too funny!

Mother's Day
Well here I am on Mother's Day and enjoying some time to myself. I stayed up way too late with Sean watching, Music and Lyrics and making chocolate chip cookies. LOVE the movie!! I keep singing the songs in my head. The cookies turned out kind of strange. I need a fool proof chocolate chip cookie recipe!!
I was so tired! I really need to go to bed earlier. Sean left around 8:30am for meetings so again I was on my own getting everyone ready. It actually works out better for me or that is what I keep telling myself.
The Sacrament program was nice. The talks were good and so were the musical numbers. Tears came to my eyes a little when Emily and Tyler were singing with the primary kids. It made me think that not too long ago I was up there singing to my mom. Time goes my so fast I try to take it all in. For Mother's Day the ward handed out flowers and a music cd that had the youth singing songs and playing musical instruments. It was all very nice. The primary had the kids plant flowers in pots for the moms. I went to pick up Isabelle from nursery and I asked her if that was my flower she was holding. She told me no that was her flower. I said, "But it is Happy Mother's Day." Isabelle corrected me and said, "No it's my Happy Birthday." Well there goes my flower. Next kid was Tyler carrying his flower. I said, "Oh is that for me?" He said, "No this is my flower, but I made you a necklace." (And he did make me a beautiful construction paper flower necklace. Love it!) Emily was my last chance of getting a flower. I went to pick her up from her class and to my surprise she smiles and says, "Here is your flower, mom. Happy Mother's Day!" She hands me the flower and a bonus treat with a cookie and a chore coupon! I knew I could count on sweet Emily! I love the flowers and the thought that went into it, but only one problem- the mess of transporting the flowers home. We had two spills, one at church (thanks Mike for cleaning that up) and one in the car.
We got home, changed clothes (hey Jess remember Sunday Olympics?), got lunch, and finished baking those yucky chocolate chip cookies. I tried resting, but really couldn't with Tyler and Isabelle jumping on my back.
I got started making the side dishes to dinner. Sean was making T- bone steaks for a real Mother's Day treat. Man those steaks were DELICIOUS and oh so tender! Thanks babe!!
After dinner we played Jenga and Uno with the kids and called it a night!
I had a great Mother's Day! I feel so blessed to be a mom to 4 wonderful kids! I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ that helps me to focus on the eternal plan of being a family forever and with that learning to become a better mom. I am grateful to my mom for the numerous sacrifices she went through with raising my brothers and sister, and I. I am grateful to her for teaching me to work. I am grateful for her awesome example of prayer and fasting. She is an awesome woman and mother. I am truly blessed and I thank my Father in Heaven.

Beginning of the week
This week has been a little slow, but that is how I like it sometimes. It is nice to not always be in a rush. I have just been staying at home mostly. Gas prices are RIDICULOUS!!! Jer told me that over in Louisville unleaded is going for $3.19!!! I am sure this being Derby week has something to do with that. That is just crazy!!! So yes that is a major reason I have just been kicking it here.
School here has been going very nice. I am so excited for Summer! I called the Board of Education to find out where I can get Tyler tested to put in public school next year for 1st grade and I learned that in Indiana Kindergarten is NOT even required. I am happy since I don't have to have him tested. I know he would have done great, but it would have been one more thing that I would stress about-so Yay! This week Tyler has had his golf and soccer. He seems to really like doing both of these activities, especially golf since he gets to see his cousins!
Emily and Isabelle have been playing really well together. Yesterday, Emily came up to me and said, "Mom, she keeps following me around." ("she" being Isabelle) I told Emily that is o.k. she just wants to be like you because she thinks you are a cool big sister. I told her Aunt Jessica used to follow me around. Ha ha Jess! All that following you did and you still aren't as cool as me. I still love you though! :)
I watched Tuesdays program of "The Mormons". How disappointing. To be truthful I wasn't too upset, because I wasn't expecting it to be great. It is funny how the media goes to the excommunicated/apostate people to get questions answered about the church. Oh well at least if some people watched it and have questions about what they saw maybe they will invite the missionaries into their homes and get the real answers. I guess it did have a few positive tinhgs to say about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Really that is about all that has been going on here. I have been staying up WAY too late at night! I have been doing the bedtime routine with the kids and once they are out I go up stairs to catch Law and Order. I don't know why I watch those shows-they freak me out! Last night Irina showed me her belly dancing workout. She asked me if I would want to learn belly dancing. I watched the work out dvd. It looks really neat, but I would be SOOO embarassed to work out with anyone. I was amazed at how much control they have over their bodies to get them to move different parts of the abdomen at different times. Very neat! After watching the work out dvd I hit the bed around 1am only to get one hour of sleep before Tyler wakes up around 2am. I guess he had a bad dream. I stayed up until 3am rubbing his back and then Isabelle kept coughing nonstop so I took her upstairs and gave her some medicine. I finally fell into a deep sleep around 5:30am then slept until 8:30am. I am dang tired!
